

Handcarts
Stake’s will have access to handcarts made by service missionaries at Martins Cove. The handcarts come with a rope that allows all of the youth to help pull. Most groups assign 10-12 people per handcart, with all their equipment and some of their food. Click for a picture
Water Trailer
For water the ranch provides each stake with a 500 gallon water trailer and a place to fill it. Stakes will need to provide a 3 quarter ton vehicle to pull this trailer. Please remember that this trailer and all of the other trailers provided have a 2 5/16 inch ball hitch. Click for a picture
Porta-John Trailers
The ranch also supplies each stake with porta-john trailers according to the size of the group. Stake vehicles will be needed to pull these trailers. Click for picture
Staff
The Pioneer Trek Coordinator shcedules the pioneer treks, establishes trek routes, and coordinates trek activities with ranch activities. Missionary couples will help trek leaders become familiar with their route, assist with ranch provided equipment, assist with questions about trekking policies and help coordinate the use of your emergency plans in case of weather or fire danger creates the need for evacuation. At the end of the trek, the missionaries will collect the checkout form and any medical incident forms from the group leader. Click for a picture
